ITB/Shin Pain

  • SHIN SPLINTS

Pathology associated with too much stress through the tibia bone and too little recovery.

  • ACHILLES' TENDINITIS

Guess what, for runners this is another overuse injury. Your Achilles hurts on the push-off phase of running. Especially when running uphill or doing splints.

  • CALF MUSCLE STRAIN

Pathology associated with partial tear or excessive tension through calf muscle(s).

  • STRESS FRACTURE

This is one time when STOP RUNNING is imperative!

It starts gradually. The pain is worse when your heel strikes the ground and gets better almost immediately after you stop running.

  • ANKLE SPRAIN

These are almost always a trauma for runners; in more way than one. The first trauma is when you sprain your ankle and you are further traumatized every day you cannot run. Ankle sprains are almost never an overuse injury.
